First Aid Course & Child Protection Course – September 2017

First Aid Course
There will be First Aid courses taking place on the 2nd, 4th, 15th and 16th September. This will be a seven hour course. This is very important this year as each club will be required to have a minimum of two qualified first aiders. Each person who completes the course will qualify with a Sports First Aid cert. If someone has already completed this or a similar course and your cert is still valid (typically 2 years) you dont need to do it again but can do it as a refresher and be certified for the next two years. Please let the Club Captain/Committee members and Instructor know what date you want to attend if you are interested in taking part. A €10 refundable fee can be dropped into Ferry Lodge (Sports Office) before the course. This will then be refunded on the day.
Child Protection Course
There will also be Child Protection course taking place on the 5th, 6th and 13th September in the evenings. There must be at least one person qualified with a child protection course/ children’s officer course/ code of ethics course in each club. If someone has already completed the course you do not need to do it again. This is the same course required by IMAC for any external club instructor. Again, a €10 refundable fee can be dropped into Ferry Lodge (Sports Office) before the course. This will then be refunded on the day.
